Antonella has extensive experience in patents, trademarks, industrial designs and copyrights. She has worked since 1996 on the software antipiracy campaign promoted by the Business Software Alliance (BSA). She advises clients on anti-counterfeiting programs, representing many important national and multinational companies. She is a frequent participant at intellectual property seminars and meetings in Brazil and foreign countries. In May 2000 she was invited by the American government to take part in the Intellectual Property and Globalization program, through which she had an opportunity to visit American companies, as well as organizations working on intellectual property. She has on several occasions spoken at seminars organized by the International Trademark Association (INTA) and other organizations in Brazil and abroad.
Ms. Carminatti advises on intellectual property strategies, management and transactions, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, industrial designs, trade dress, domain names, software licensing, distribution and technology transfer agreements. She has also experience in anti-counterfeiting programs and the litigation of IP and related rights such as unfair competition, domain names and trade dress cases before the Brazilian federal and state courts, and has earned a reputation for preparing and defending motions for temporary restraining orders and/or preliminary injunctions.
