BMA Inspiration

To inspire. According to the dictionaries, it means “to animate or invigorate” and “to stimulate creativity”. There couldn’t be a better definition for the work of BMA InspirAção. By inspiring good ideas and good practices both in and outside the firm, we refresh our daily routine and exchange experiences with other communities and members of society.

To give back to society as a whole, through actions that lead to deep and long-lasting change, is the mission we have taken on in BMA InspirAção. The program supports social actions that promote Education, Culture, and Entrepreneurship having Social Impact, by mobilizing members of different areas of the firm, both lawyers and other professionals, to donate their time and support in three ways: pro bono work, volunteer work, and BMA Solidário. We believe that these tools allow us to contribute to building a better and more egalitarian world.

We support entities and projects whose social impacts reflect BMA’s values and ethical and legal policies and principles. We act on three fronts:

PRO BONO

Solidarity is part of our DNA, so it’s not surprising that the first branch of BMA InspirAção to be launched was our pro bono legal services, which are governed by regulations issued by the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB Nacional). Through BMA’s pro bono services, NGOs and Oscips (private organizations that engage in work of public interest), institutions, and many other organizations having social purposes receive, without charge, complete legal support in a wide range of areas of the law, at the same high standard of commitment and quality that we offer to all our clients.

VOLUNTEER WORK

BMA InspirAção goes beyond legal support and extends to volunteer work focused on social causes. By involving all members of the BMA team, not just lawyers, we are convinced that volunteer work truly makes a difference! Projects such as mentoring young students and professionals and providing training at public schools provide an enriching experience for all participants, and help transform the communities around us.

BMA SOLIDÁRIO – BMA SOLIDARITY

InspirAção also helps those closer to home. Through BMA Solidário, our network of members supports collaborators who find themselves in need for health, financial, or educational reasons. Each action is selected, disclosed and carried out within the firm, with full transparency – especially as to the positive results of Solidário’s initiatives.
