Giovanna acts in lawsuits initiated by the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) involving accusations of improper use of privileged information, unfair practices and fraudulent operations, in addition to advising clients in investigations in mergers and acquisitions and regarding compliance with legal duties by directors, advisers and controlling shareholders.
She also acts in processes initiated by the Brazilian Central Bank (Bacen) related to the mismanagement of financial institutions and foreign exchange infractions, in addition to processes initiated by BM&FBovespa Market Supervision (BSM).
Her work covers all phases of the administrative process, from legal advice during an investigation or preliminary procedure, including the development of the client's defense strategy, to the final judgment by the Appeals Council of the Brazilian National Financial System (CRSFN).
