Professional experience
Luiza represents domestic and foreign clients in complex disputes – primarily corporate, contractual, construction, and energy matters – before international arbitral institutions and all major Brazilian arbitration chambers, as well as before state courts.
From 2024 to 2025, she was part of the international dispute resolution group at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York.
Winner of the full scholarship awarded by the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce Center for Arbitration and Mediation (CAM-CCBC) to attend the specialization course offered by American University's Washington College of Law (2018). Had tuition and accommodation funded by the Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration (Young ICCA) to attend a course on arbitration and interim measures in Belgium (2015). Coached the teams representing Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (2014–2015) and the University of São Paulo (2015–2019) in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Served as Secretary-General of the Brazilian Association of Arbitration Students (2014–2015). Mentor in the mentoring program promoted by the Brazilian Association of Arbitration Students (2018). Researcher and drafter in the CBAr-ABEArb 2016 Empirical Research Project (2014–2016). Mentee of Carolyn Lamm in the Young ICCA Mentoring Programme (2015). She is a frequent speaker at arbitration events and author of book chapters and articles published in national and international journals.
Luiza is co-coordinator of the CAM-CCBC NewGen Diversity Committee and leads BMA's LGBT+ Diversity Advocates Group.
