Paulo Cezar Aragão participated in the CVM-ABRASCA Seminar, on the panel about IFRS 18
On November 28th, 2024, the event "Current Topics of Public Companies" was held, organized by Abrasca (Brazilian Association of Public Companies) in collaboration with CVM (Securities and Exchange Commission), at the CVM headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.
The event facilitated an in-depth discussion on critical issues related to the structure and governance of companies in the capital market, as well as the integration of new companies into the business environment. The panels covered a range of topics, including the market access for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the role of the debt market, and the accounting innovations of the 21st century.
Our founding partner, Paulo Cezar Aragão, attended the event and provided insights on IFRS 18, emphasizing how the standard will transform the presentation of the income statement and officially recognize non-accounting measures such as EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization).
