Brazil’s Senate approves the Directors appointed to the National Data Protection Authority
On October 20th, the Federal Senate approved the Directors appointed by the President of Brazil to compose the first Board of Directors of the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD – Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados).
The National Justice Council creates a LGPD Working Group
Brazil’s National Justice Council has created a Working Group to carry out studies and draw up proposals on how to bring the country’s courts into compliance with the LGPD.
Proposed new Framework Legislation for Startups
Brazil’s federal government has submitted Bill PLC 249/2020 to National Congress. The Bill contains the Administration’s proposal for a Framework Law for Startups and Innovative Entrepreneurship.
