After acting as General Counsel of the Brazilian securities and exchange commission, the CVM, Aragão led the BMA team in major transactions in Brazil, such as the privatization of Telebras, Brazil's largest privatization to date with a value of USD 19.2 billion. Among many other deals, he acted in the merger of Brazilian breweries Brahma and Antartica, which resulted in AmBev, the world leader in the beer market, and AmBev's international association with the Belgian Interbrew, creating InBev, as well as in the merger between Sadia and Perdigão, creating BRF.
In the interview, Paulo shares some of his experiences, with lessons learned and challenges faced in large international transactions over more than four decades of dedication to excellence in the practice of law.
