Federal Chamber of Deputies Approves Brazil’s Tax Reform

​Early on Friday, July 7, the Chamber of Deputies approved the basic text of Brazil’s Tax Reform, Constitutional Amendment PEC 45/19, in two rounds of voting. In the first round, 382 deputies voted in favor of the reform and 118 against; in the second round, 375 voted in favor and 113 against. The Tax Reform now goes to the Federal Senate for debate and voting.
