On August 2, 2024, Law 14.948/2024 was signed into law, creating Brazil’s legal framework for production of low carbon hydrogen, including hydrogen obtained from renewable sources and water electrolysis. The framework legislation also provides for tax and financial incentives to stimulate the combustible hydrogen industry in Brazil and contribute to the decarbonization of the country’s energy
mix.
