Maria Sampaio

Maria has extensive experience advising domestic and international clients on matters related to Competition / Antitrust Law, both in the administrative sphere (before the Administrative Council for Economic Defense – CADE and other regulatory agencies) and in judicial proceedings.

Maria advises clients on merger control filings (e.g., mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures) and on Administrative Proceedings involving investigations into potentially anticompetitive conduct (e.g., cartels and unilateral practices). She also assists clients with the review of commercial practices and the development of competition compliance programs.

Among the clients she represents are some of the largest national and international companies, operating across a wide range of sectors, including digital platforms, education, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, financial services, insurance, agrochemicals, among others.
