Our services range from preventive measures, such as designing and reviewing compliance programs, conducting anticorruption and legal ESG due diligence, corporate investigations, and performing in-depth analysis of the risks presented by business practices, to representing companies and their executives in administrative proceedings and in actions before the courts.
Advisory. Risk analyses, according to the nature of the business or transaction; evaluations for compliance with Brazilian legislation, such as the Anticorruption Law and the Anti Money Laundering Law; review, adaptation and drafting of compliance policies and programs.
Administrative Proceedings. Defense of companies and their executives in proceedings before government authorities such as the federal Ministry of Transparency, Inspection and Control (CGU), the Public Prosecution Services and the Public Accounts Tribunals at the federal state, and municipal levels; support in negotiation of leniency agreements.
Court Proceedings. Defense of companies and their executives in actions related to administrative misconduct, bribery offenses, and fraud and corruption crimes.
Investigations. Corporate investigations into suspected frauds, corruption, virtual crimes, employment issues such as harassment, support in competition investigations, information security, and due diligence investigations in M&A transactions.
Training. Preparation and implementation of compliance training programs; training sessions on new developments and requirements in compliance and corporate ethics; training in Corporate Investigation.
Monitoring. Design and implementation of monitoring policies to prevent fraud and corruption.
Asset Recovery. Legal support and coordination of investigation procedures to recover assets obtained through fraud or corruption, in connection with corporate investigations or litigation.
