We were the only law ﬁrm to act for the Brazilian government in the privatization of the national telephone company, Telebras, in the largest-ever privatization in Brazil. Our experience in that transaction, which resulted in the incorporation and subsequent sale of control of 12 state-owned companies to private investors, has made us a reference in privatizations and concessions in Brazil.

Our team’s portfolio includes some of the biggest privatization and concession transactions in Brazil.

We also represent clients in administrative proceedings.

Tax. We analyze tax aspects, advise on the strategic development of structures in privatizations and concessions, mergers and acquisitions, and assess tax contingencies.

Labor and Employment. We help clients analyze employment-related contingencies in privatizations, corporate restructurings, and mergers and acquisitions.

Litigation. We help clients assess litigation-related liabilities in state-owned enterprise undergoing privatization, and act in complex disputes.
